Growing up in India, Chef GG's culinary roots originated in the kitchen of his own childhood home, as he watched his mother cook. He became curious and began learning from his mother while experimenting with ingredients and technique. With experiences as an executive chef in both India and the Caribbean, working with the highly esteemed Taj Hotels, Chef GG has had the privilege of cooking for many celebrities and international dignitaries. Hailing from a background of Caribbean, Indian and Asian styles of cooking, Chef GG's unique experiences have shaped his distinctive Indian fusion and Pan-Asian culinary style.

Managing Partner / Director of Special Projects
Dr. Hosmane is a Delaware resident and considers Lewes his hometown, having gone through its public school system since kindergarten as well as attending the University of Delaware. He’s been told that he’s finally achieved status as a local. When he is not practicing Cardiology in Northern Delaware, he can often be found in Slower Lower on his kayak and paddleboard, as well as on Lewes beach with his wife and children. He considers physically being in Sussex County an integral part of his personal stress management system.
Twenty years ago, after first meeting in The Spice Isle (Grenada, West Indies), he and Chef GG discussed an Indian fusion venture for the Delaware beaches. After several trips back and forth to each other’s countries, including taking his medical mission teams to Chef GG’s restaurants, the concept of Raas and its name were born. With his cardiology background, he has ensured that heart healthy items are available for his clients.

Having fallen in love with the charming, small-town vibe of Lewes, and everything that comes along with it – the beach, the community and the ever-growing number of local restaurants, the Patels decided to purchase their second home in Lewes, DE. Some of their favorite summer memories have been watching the sunset from Lewes Beach, riding the bike trails and kayaking. They feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful coastal town.
Jagruti and Manesh joined Masala Hospitality Group because they loved the idea of bringing unique dining options to an already vibrant beach-town. They are excited to bring Indian fusion cuisine to the beaches of Delaware, hoping to make Lewes just a little bit tastier.
